Recent acquisition and a real beauty. This one is split-cane and has Hardy screw-lock ferrules. The split-cane is very well done; I can't see any lines where it's joined. Wonder if it came from Hardy.

I recently purchased a 8ft long two piece boat rod in solid bamboo.It has only 4 guides and they are all on the top section which measures 5ft. All the guides are pink porcelain the top guide slightly bigger than the others. The whipping on the rings, which are brown look original but the butt section looks like it may have been recently re-whipped in what looks like cord. There is a space of almost 6in. for the reel to seat,it has brass reel rings and brass ferrules, I cant find any name or initials anywhere.I think a nice rub down and varnish and It would be a wonderful display rod. John.
