Avon Perfection Special. Only 46 more sleeps.....

I have just gotten off the phone from speaking with Andrew, my Avon Perfection is on course to be ready for collection from the Redditch Tackle Fair on 21st November so that is only 46 more sleeps.
I have also bought my first ever Centre Pin Reel too, so if any one fancy's an entertaining day out watching a stressed out newbie getting into lots of tangled and casting out 3 to 4 feet please let me know and I will arrange some extra seats when I first try the reel out

Would that be based on the B.James Avon Perfection and if so is it a whole cane butt version or the later all built cane version.
I use a B.james all built cane version of the Avon Perfection which feels a little sloppy in the hand but is a stand out rod when asked to handle a good fish. As for centre pins I hardly used one for 30 years but in the last 20 or so they are my go to reel for still waters. Just take it gently and do not expect to cast to the horizon and you will be fine I am sure.

No, the AJD Avon Perfection is Andrew's own design.

Fishing a centrepin you just need to educate your rim control finger/thumb and remember to engage the ratchet when not wanting any spin
