New member from Surrey
Hello fellow piscators,
I’ve fished for over 50 years, mainly on the southern chalk streams and their tributaries, with a few still waters thrown in for good measure. Brought up on a diet of fishing annuals and books, Mr Crabtree’s books in particular being favourites, which I still own.
I’ve only recently become interested in ‘traditional’ angling, having been asked to service a pair of Altex reels for my brother, that said, I have been using centrepins for quite a few years now, including a Speedia wide drum.
I’ve now taken this one step further by purchasing a cane rod.
I believe it’s a Aspindale Aero, but not 100% certain, as there is no inscription on the butt. Anyway, that’s for a later discussion.
In the meantime, I hope to be able to contribute and also learn from the vast knowledge on this forum. Richard Drayson
