New member from Essex
Hello,my name is Peter from south east essex.
I have been a keen fisherman since my grandfather gave me a copy of "Mr.Crabtree goes fishing " as a Xmas present when I was a youngster and I was hooked.I would accompany him on trips to the rivers Chelmer,Roding and a few trips to the broads.Future birthday presents followed Apollo Taperflash,Edgar Sealy float rod and centre pins. Then as schoolboys we would cycle to small lakes and ponds for roach, perch and my favourite at the time crucian carp. Then as a young teenager Avon and Mk 4s in kit form with a pair of mitchell 300s Chub pike and tench.Happy days indeed !Now at 73 my cane rods are still going strong on my visits to my club lakes.I have a large collecton of books which I delve into in the evenings. My favourite authors being,John Searl,Jack Hilton,Richard Walker,Bernard Venables,Len Arberry,Fred Taylor,Tony Miles,Stephen Harper the list just goes on and on.

Welcome aboard Peter from South West Essex.
