Fred Crouch Baitdroppers

Ok i know its a bit of a long shot but are they still made?

Was gutted to lose my very last one this afternoon after sterling service for many years.I know they have been probulary been left behind my superior models from other tackle firm's but to me they were good honest products which to pinch that well worn phrase "it does exactly what it says on the tin"

Never liked them myself, too small and too light.

Why not contact the folk selling Fred's reels on eBay and ask?

I believe his son does the reels now.

I think that you will find they are no longer made and the only chance of getting one is of somebody puts one up on ebay or the like.

Rather than use a small dropper I use a small pva bag attached to my lead, for bigger droppers I make my own out of tuna tins (with big leads on them).

Try contacting Steve Pope through his barbel fishing website. He is a longtime friend of Fred and if anyone can help I am sure he can.

Good Luck!

I can confirm that Fred no longer makes them.
I advised him some months ago there was quite a bit of interest in them, and he was going to think about making some more.

Personal matters have got the upper hand at the moment.
