I think Chapmans liked those big butt rings..they put them on a lot of rods, the 500 for instance.

Re: Quinette MK9
my 500 came with aqualites tip and butt, but i know many had these, the Quinette Mk8 that's on it's way to me has one too but it may get changed during the rebuild as i have a nice 20mm one waiting for a suitable rod, depends how good a condition it is, if it looks like yours I'll keep it as is

Chapman 500 De-Luxe supplied in same format as the above rod but having Aqualite butt and end ring with chrome intermediates, and divisional cloth bag.

Re: Quinette MK9
i know but mine wasn't a deluxe, no copper windings and one less guide, rebuilt to deluxe spec now though and those copper windings look lovely a lot of variation in spec between rods through the years, all 3 of my FJT's were Different as are my Hunters and the Mk8 is different to the specs that used to be on the website that have now gone, anyone that has a copy it would be greatly appreciated :thumb:ljm183 wrote:Taken from Chapmans web sitegreentura wrote:my 500 came with aqualites tip and butt,
