Braemar series of non impregnated rods?
I've just acquired an 8ft Sharpes Braemar spinning rod. It's not impregnated but varnished. Can anybody date this or tell me any more about them? I know they did a series of fly and spinning rods with the Braemar label. Presumably they were before the impregnation process was developed/perfected? I wish I had asked even more questions when I had my Saturday job at Seaforth Rd in the early 90s

Re: Braemar series of non impregnated rods?
I have a catalogue from 1969 which still lists 11 various non impregnated fly rods but the Braemar is no longer listed. I read a trade catalogue a few years ago and in the Sharpes listings they offered most of their well known rods in either impregnated or none impregnated form.
