Picked this up yesterday and it feels like a lovely rod but I would have said more of a Roach rod rather than a hard fighting Chub.
Not sure if Peeks actually made rods or just bought them in and added transfers?
Sections measure 54 3/4" with a 27" handle including the button.
The ferrules look familiar, can't be sure but I think I saw the same on a Oliver's rod I viewed a few years ago.
I would be grateful for any information :Hat:

My inner panda, he say "YUM!"
That's a handsome bit of bamboo. How long are the sections?

It's 11ft but can't say I've measured it assembled yet but will do tomorrow.

It looks a lovely rod, the gold writing very subtle. Looks like it’s been lovingly used.

The chap I purchased it from has had it from new, just the way you like to find them and he was so pleased it was still going to be used.

The whipping colours also look like the sort of thing Olivers would do.

The rod has got a bent ring as well as a bit of a set due to a tight/ shrunken bag so I decided to replace the bent ring, turn the tip and redo the rest of the whippings apart from the inters.
It really is a quality rod and fittings, the ferrules are numbered and the cane is built up to fit them. The other surprising thing was the handle is built on split cane and not alloy tube.

Quite pleased with the results especially as I didn't have to use preserver on the whips so they have a translucency about them that looks nice in the sunshine.

I was thinking of selling it as when I bought it I was really looking for something of the like the James version but now I'm not so sure.ImageImageImageImage
