Can you help date & type of Allcocks reel

I am afraid I have no catalogues to refer to. This reel was given to me in about 1988, by H Waterfall, Secretary of Nottingham Piscatorial Society, who stated that it had belonged to his father in law Herbert Hickling. That would place it as far as I am aware in the era pre-1945. It is somewhat moth-eaten and has lost a handle but otherwise despite its age still spins well and true. It measures 4" across drum flanges and it is 1&1/4" wide

Thanking you all in anticipation.

It is an Aerial "Popular", Garry Mills should be able to sort/replace the handles for you!

As Lea Dweller says a Popular circ 1930 should be just the job for the Barbel you're seeking
