I had a look at a centrepin tonight with no makers markings but with Allcock's features.

4" with an ebonite back and the word PATENT embossed on the front drum, it's a narrow drum version 3/4 "

Could this be a T1 (7950) or a T2 made by Youngs? or even Albert Smith who was the owner of Dominion works? I do not believe these are horn handles or made of ivory. According to the Allcock Aerial Collectors Guide, this could be scarcity rarity (NC) not catalogued.

Looks like a 7950 T1 to me. Very nice reel indeed.

No idea but I know I like it.

Looking at Bob Singletons book the reel looks like a 1914-1925 Model 7950 T2 4"dia narrow drum. I have never seen the drum rim drilled before, obviously to help locate and adjust the spokes but not really needed so a strange feature.
Not sure if it's the photo or not but the handles look like replacements in grey plastic.

That's interesting wal. I've never seen a 7950 in the flesh and I've always wondered how they drill the spoke holes if both the inner and outer flanges were of the same dimensions. How is it done if you wanted to leave the outer rim intact.
