Went to Mottisfont Abbey (National Trust) this afternoon. Walked the river then popped in to the secondhand book shop that they now have at most of their properties and found this gem for £3. I love the old advertisements and the map of the rivers is in superb condition. Here is a snippet of some of the pages that are similar throughout the book. I would have been 4yrs old when this was published in 1965-66.

What a cracking find! I notice there is an advert for British Seagull outboards, I actually have one from that era and despite its age and lack of maintenance it starts second pull every time! British engineering at its best!!

There is about 10 pages of advertisements and seagull put boards are on each page. My friend's father had one on his boat when we used to go sea fishing.

Do you think you could put the advertisements in the - fishing books magazines > vintage tackle advertisements - it would be great to see them, These old guides are an invaluable resource for the ads & maps, they are also a very good read. Thanks for posting :Hat:
