What is the collective noun for Cormorants?

Went on an eight mile walk on the river today across on the other bank there was a massive tree
I counted eight sitting high above the river.

Thought it was unusual to see them altogether like that.

That's not unusual at all. Last winter I counted more than 70 sitting together in a small group of trees right in the middle of the town.

there has been a cormorant watch on the clyde for a few years now, its run by the lads at UCAPA and the numbers of roosts are growing, they average 300 - 400 birds in each roost especially around strathclyde park area.
