This Allcocks reel did have some problems, half gone by the oxide broken reel foot and a missing knob next to all the dirt that is on.
First i took out a wobble before i even started on the reel in case it would brake in half. cleaned all parts and polished the brass before i start the repairs on the front ring, to reconstruct the ring i use metal epoxy and bring it on in thin layers to start to make a bridge between the broken parts to give it some strength
after building up the missing parts i sand it in shape, the back plate cleaned, make a new badge bring on a spare knob en a sprare reelfoot from a trudex (same size) and painted the plate brown metallic
the spool i did with dark gray paint and i am pleased with the result, it spins very well and will use it again
