My Peter Stone ledger strike has a slight droop on top section is this the norm!!! If not can it be straightened

All cane rods unless brand new seem to develop a slight droop under their own weight. I think you can sort of tell the difference between a droop and a set. If you rotate the rod so the rings are facing upwards the droop may become a bit less. I wouldn't worry about it if there is no signs of any other damage. Some wag once write that if you are worried about such things then you should be using rods made of a material other than cane. I think that's a bit harsh but it did serve to positively reassure me that rods, like fishermen, often develop a stoop as they age.

Put the tip section on upside down and see how the rod looks, if it doesn't have a droop have the tip re-rung 180 degrees. Or give John Chapman a call and buy a new tip. The difference a new tip makes is well worth the outlay on that rod.
