I have found that the Mr. Crabtree books can fluctuate quite a bit in price.
I suppose its down to if anyone has posted a desire to own one.

We are being WATCHED you know.

For all you Talisker Skye drinkers, ASDA has it on offer for £25 a bottle, usually £32.

If they have run out Sainsbury have it at the same price too.

It was re-printed a few years ago ( 1990) and you should be able to get one easily I think.
Thank you Nobby, Sir :Hat:
I chose the book link instead placing a bid on that auction site. 10.73 quid. If it doesn't fall apart a pretty good deal I think.

I too raised a glass to BV, over here in the US. I was given my first copy of Mr Crabtree goes fishing for Christmas when I was 13. It was read it so frequently that it fell apart. I was given my second copy for Christmas when I was 14. It lasted a couple of years. I bought the reprinted copy a few years ago. Turning the pages brings back memory after memory of fishing in England as a teenager.

Thank you, BV.

When I feel my little grandson is old enough to understand what is going on in the pictures in Mr Crabtree, by my talking him through them, he will have his own copy by his bedside. :Thumb:

Lest we forget, Bernard would to-day have been 111.
Rest in paradise Sir, I will be raising mugs to you to-day and possibly a glass tonight although I have been trying to avoid a midweek tipple.
