Evening Chaps,

Just a quick update, progress is a bit slow but there's a new dog in the house so the rods been on the back burner. However, that being said, I have done some work this evening, the brass fittings has been cleaned and re-blued, hopefully they meet with your approval.

If the weathers bad this weekend and my good lady is busy with the Christmas prep then hopefully I will be able to crack on with the rod.

A very warm welcome to the forum JT. That is a lovely start on what will, I am sure, become a beautiful refurb. As has been stated already, with Crucian to guide you, you can't fail. Your choice of whipping colours is spot on. Keep up the good work!

Welcome too. I like the red edge, would blend nicely with the camouflaged cane.

Evening Chaps,

Here's the latest update, I think the photo's should speak for themselves, any comments or advise would be very gratefully received.

The colours should darking down when it's been varnished.

Not looking forward to the intermediate whippings on the tip section.
