Hi there
I have a Milwards Swimaster and a Milwards Floatmaster. Other than the swimaster having chrome finsh intermediate rigs compared to the floatmaster which has a darker finish to the rings what are the differences between the rods as they both appear very similar to me and were they intended for different purposes?

Just to say I have managed to obtain a Milwards catalogue for 1962 and it appears "The Swimaster" is hollow built split cane in the butt and middle joint with a solid split cane top and is more of a light float/match rod, whereas "The Floatmaster" is solid split cane throughout and is meant for float fishing for bigger fish. The catalogue is very informative especially as I also have a couple of Milwards "Featherlites", spanish reed with split cane tops.
So if anyone needs any info concerning early 60's Milwards tackle I may be able to help.
