Your best looking carp

Post by Kingfisher »

As the title says. I'd like to see photos of your most colourful carp.

I'll start the ball rolling.

Some lovely, very pretty looking carp there Gents.

Bumble was yours caught in deep water? I've noticed a lot of the more golden looking carp come from deeper water through my experiences.

This Leney carp was stocked into Hardwick Lake, Oxfordshire, in the 50's and caught by me in the 90's. At 28.04 it is not my biggest, but in my eyes it is the best looking carp. The manner of the capture on a James Mk4 and a Young's 'pin with lobworm as bait makes it even more special to me!

A pretty fully scaled mirror of about 8lbs
Not a fish was visible that first time I visited Beechmere; an utter
stillness brooded over the place and I felt the strange and sinister atmosphere which, so the story goes,
has been the cause of several suicides.’
