Another landing net handle!

Post by Santiago »

This one's a composite of an old boat rod and the butt section of a broken Mar o test. The bottom part is original to the sea rod (black wood) and I've wound cork tape around where the cane was rounded. The handle is about 7' long!

Looking good Santi

Thanks chaps! I forgot to mention how I made the cork tape part! After googling cork tape I found an American site where they twist the tape on but leave a small gap between to form a spiral, and then whip in thick coloured thread to form a thin spiral of colour; and as wwell as looking nice it adds grip. So that's what I did! !
