The Ruined Abbey Lake
The Monks have long gone but the remains of the ruined Abbey still stand by the ancient lake. Who knows what leviathans are contained within its murky depths ?

Wow what a lovely lake is it open to anglers?
Not a fish was visible that first time I visited Beechmere; an utter
stillness brooded over the place and I felt the strange and sinister atmosphere which, so the story goes,
has been the cause of several suicides.’

Sadly, no angling allowed. The lake is massive though.Carp Artist wrote:Wow what a lovely lake is it open to anglers?

I was going to say I wouldn't mind living in that house until I saw it without a roof. looks lovely and what a daft place to put a garden shed or is it just flooded
Chance is always powerful. Let your hook be always cast; in the pool where you least expect it, there will be a fish

A nice bit of landscaping, with a folly, Agree with Loop about that shed.
