Vintage (published 1938) whodunit? featuring traditional fly fishing as its back-drop - replete with tweed, cane and well drawn fishing types: what's not to like!
And it by Cyril Hare (aka Judge Gordon Clark), an alumnus of my old stamping grounds too - the fact that its in the Penguin green and white crime series (that I've always liked as shove-in-a-pocket reads) is a bonus!
My eldest son - sage that he is - points out that "books with maps at the front are usually good" (he may have been spoilt by The Hobbit and LotR).
