milwards rod id

hi gents,
need some help with this rod ,its a 3 piece 116 inc long or 9 and a half foot long ,brass fittings solid wood handle ,cane.
from what I have read about the brass fittings and the handle its pre war

It doesn't look quite right to me. Whole cane butt and middle with snake rings. Is the tip section split cane or greenheart? The tip ring and the plain ferrules don't look very Milwards either.

good news ,
just found out from Mr Jason white that the rod is infact an early milwards 4 piece combi roach rod circa 1920's ,the piece that's missing is the roach tip ,this is definitely going to be restored later this year with roach tip section.

Excellent news, Sir. Can't wait to see it. Please don't varnish the greenheart ... but oil it. I saw a site (wish I could find it again) which explained that the wood can dry out of it's natural oils under varnish and become very brittle ... hence the reputation for 'exploding' sections.

Take advice from those more experienced than I.
