Here's an idea for shot tubes using, well, shot tubes.
I usually find these lying around the countryside. Simple and effective recycling.

Re: Simple shot tubes
I just brought two empties home, one of which miss-fired and the pellets fell from the end of the gun. Anyway, I have plenty of these.....great idea.
People should really pick them up after shooting and take them home with them.

I have noticed lately the bases of shot shells are made from steel and rust away, is this to make them more environmentally friendly or simply to save manufacturing costs.
The older ones with brass bases will be better for making things with.

I would hazard a guess it's to cut costs as the plastic case won't rot for years.
