A couple of banks sticks approaching completion.
Seasoned branches, stripped of bark, sanded, varnished and fitted with off cuts of copper pipe.

Thanks guys!

I'm rather pleasd now that they are finished. I'm most pleased with the way that they appear warped and twisted, yet when stuck in the ground they meander lazily to the vertical then provide a place for the the rod to nestle just so.

Since I don't know which wood these are made of I would have to say no. I tend to just keep looking In piles of fallen branches in til I find something with the right V in it.
I'm sure some of our more learned members will know more.
