Hello Mark, you may want to add a split cane two piece 8ft Edgar Sealey SPINET 7LB spinning rod to your list I bought one last week for £33.00 including postage so a real deal. Looks very much like my two piece 8ft OCTOSPIN Heavy spinning rod which has a 16 inch handle stainless Seymo 616HC guides throughout whipped in red and black silks, the heavy has a powerfull action and suitable for lines of say 8 to 12 lb, overall a nice rod for carp fishing with 8lb line on rivers lakes and ponds.
In comparison the Spinet has a 23 inch handle alloy butt and rubber but cap, reinforced ferrules agate tip and but rings with Seymo 616HC type intermediate rings whipped in green silk, the Spinet has a slightly lighter springy action. As it says on the rod 7lb line rating so I figure it to be a medium spinning rod, I have not used it yet but being similar to my split cane Octospin heavy would suggest it will be a delight to use and a formidable Perch Pike or carp fishing rod.
