I'm pretty certain that this is ex-Angling Times editor, Jack Thorndyke, with Tim Paisley:

See the 'Angling Problems' thread Mark has just put up. You , of course, being SO much older than me would really have enjoyed the evening.
Take care and regards to June and Tony

When 'little' Billy Walkenden stayed with me I offered to set up a spare bed however he almost slept flat on a single armchair. With him came a few pictures which he gave me one is well known and I gave a copy to Kevin for "Redmire" page 85. I have an oil painting of this which when I get a chance I will give to Mark with a suggestion that it is raffled to help offset any costs for TFF.

Hi Mike,
Followed your suggestion, and perused the 'Angling Problems' thread.
I did attend several 'Kodak' angling events but I fear not this one; probably past my bedtime!
Thanks for the good wishes, I'll pass them on.
Besties,
Len.

I have just had a look at page 85 of the book and what a picture it is, "View from Bramble Island looking towards the dam". I see the willow was still there as well.

Hello All,
Just one more picture from that great event.
This one shows Harry Grief and Bill Quinlan chatting; see, Bill didn't spend ALL his time in the bar!
Besties,
