Now that's so nice... Whata lovely fish and a delightful rod. Unique too. Is it a lightcaster? Just the little type that is so suited to that small river

I need to check out the Roding next season. It's my local river but never full investigated it. Looks like some nice chub & perch are in there. Do you need to join the clubs or are there other fishable stretches that are as good.
Best regards Mark

The club strecthes are only better deep into the farm area away from roads where the farmer with his dogs and farm hands wont tolerate eastern european trepassers. Even though i have resigned as roding mitchells farm fishery officer i am meeting some friends to barb wire passingford bridge area in the closed season .
Steve i own 2 centerpins and never legered with them. I should the control is so direct.

Hope you recover soon Steve. A couple of years ago the air ambulance responding to a emergency call passed over one of our bdac lakes and saw someone floating face down in the middle of the lake and alerted ground emergency services. Sadly the angler was not revived. We later heard this was not the first time but other anglers managed to save him but obviously he was alone that day. As most of my winter roding sessions are into darkness I have to take care and my last session the river was rising so fast I moved my chair 3 times in a hour. After the 3rd time felt it was too much and quickly packed up.
