Thats lovely I may just do that to mineAshbyCut wrote:The spring is late coming ... so I had time on my hands ... and a Dremel ... and I couldn't let those Mitchell chaps have all the fun ... and the finish on the reel was truly awful (is there a paint moth ???) when I got it ... and it was cheap enough to play with ... so here it is ... Not everyone's cup of tea, possibly, but it does look better than it did.
Not strictly true, I have a reel that I made myself from 2014 (HE 15) that is very corrosion resistant.Chavender wrote:aluminium has a habit of corroding if not dried properly ,paint should protect the metal ,but as so often happened water ingress got under the paint and resulting in corrosion and paint loss & paint doesn't show up minor scrates so much.
