Thanks Davyr.

I'm well pleased with it, although I didn't get to fish with it yesterday. The reel seat is quite a bit bigger than the seat on the rod. I'll just have to get another rod that does fit!!! :thumb:

The reels by Dragon Carp are ok for legering and the carp, I stuffed the spindle with grease to slow it down. I don't have a problem Wallis casting. Though I have given one away to a guy that wanted a centre pin and was going though a tough time. I much prefer my Carters, J W Young's and Garry Mills reels. In fact I have just ordered another reel from Garry for my 10 month old grandson. Also when it comes to trotting its so much nicer if you have a drag adjustment which can be set to the pull of the flow. Regards Martin

Can anyone tell me anything about it? Is it modern??

Nice one JT!!! With a bit of oiling it spins well enough, just a few flicks needed to help it o its way.

I am lucky enough to now own a Lewtham "Leeds Classic" courtesy of my mate Martin James (Thanks Mate!!!). Superb reels that spins forever, looking forward to trying it out over the coming weeks. :thumb:

I have one and have always found it to be a good solid reel. Nothing flashy but functional.

That's a seriously clean reel...almost too good to use. I don't think I've seen a cleaner one.
