I'm frankly amazed at the research talent on this forum! When I saw the original request I confess I quietly said 'fat chance' to myself. Wrong, Nobby.
Not only has the lock maker been tracked down but we have a drawing of their factory from an advert SO similar to an Allcock's one...and they were the forerunner of Yale locks too!

What a lovely looking thing that is Steve. A fantastic find and what a joy it would be to use on a lovely summers day along with a greenheart rod and wooden centrepin.
