Horses for courses...Matt Hayes may sell 'em but he can't use a centrepin....Dick Walker designed his own...and gave it away.

Does anyone have any thoughts as to where I might purchase an appropriate set of new guides for this rod?

you could ask Peter at OliverĀ“s rods:

Very knowledgeable and helpful.
Good luck, Bobby

Does anyone know what the correct diameter is for the tip eye? The rest of the guides are pretty easy to figure. Just that tip.....

Buller, I will measure it tomorrow. But I have the standard version, no idea if the rings are the same. Best, Bobby

Outer diameter is 7 mm, inner diameter is 2.15 mm (agate lined stand off tip ring). Tube bore should be measured on your rod. I have not sen a fitting traditional ring on the hopkins&holloway site. Perhaps you need to call them. I am quite sure Peter or someone on here can help you. I have no fitting ring in my box. Good luck, Bobby

Buller I re-read your post. I measured the diameter of the eye, not the tube bore. Just to be sure there is no misunderstanding. Bobby

Many thanks Bobby. It's the tube bore that I'm after if anyone can assist. Otherwise I'll have to get busy with a micrometre!
