Evert, there's also a model called the Mentor.
The ebay sale of an (initially mislabelled) example of which is what first kicked off this discussion. Check my original post to get a link to it. Probably their attempt at a 'budget' version of the Avon Royal style reel.

Evert, I'm curious to know how you developed this interest in the reels made by a relatively minor, long defunct (since mid 1980s) tackle manufacturer from my home town of Sheffield, who are little remembered even there. Are they a cult in the Netherlands or something?

You have the late model, dimpled back and rear mounted switch lever operated check.

The earlier models have the flat smooth back with check lever in the rim.

Same badge on both but mine has gone.

Here,s a painted one.

I have transparent and white decal paper, i only have to try the withe one out. you can use the transparent paper if you just paint the background withe, i did the same with the Merlins and it works fine

Actually there is a later Major, and indeed all the other reels too( I think) that had plastic anti-reverse parts. including the operating lever. The plastic is very fragile and these last reels are best avoided if you intend to fish with them.

You can buy white backed transfer paper but, of course, you have to trim the edges of your transfer right away to avoid a white outline.
