This has got to be one of the most interesting threads so far regarding nets , especially this classic Walker design . It is always refreshing to see how others "improve" to their own spec . Lovely neat workmanship and not a "cnc" machine in sight .

Is it just me or does anyone else find the appearance of the mixture of materials aethsetically pleasing?

The dark wood, the brass and the copper rivet heads...perhaps it is just me...I'm the sort of bloke who goes to the Science Museum and just stares at one piece of engineering that pleases me for hours.

A satisfying day...every bit as good as a visit to The Tate, and I used to end it with a visit to a nearby Polish restaurant.......
