Just in case it helps someone googling, it was "Peek's" or just "J. Peek" of Gray's Inn Road.

Sorry about the photo, I think my hands were shaking. It did cartwheels before I got it on the bank.

I went to the bootfair this moring ( and am now off fishing :Thumb: ) and purchased a bit of a dog of a rod. The ferrule is a right bodge up and needs to be replaced the whole rod has a spiral whip running the whole length at one inch wide and it is painted black apart from the logo etc but the rings and other fittings are all intact. At first glances I thought it was a MK 1V Carp rod (the one I have been after all my life) but here is what the logo says... Fields' Fishing Tackle, Actual makers, 20A Highgate Road, London, N.W.9? Below this in black ink...7.7.7 (the two first 7's have that french line through them), Carp de Luxe, Special, 11FT. Built for B.P.Burke. I am not sure what I am going to do with it at present but would like to know roughly the age and is 11FT unusual for this type of rod as normaly they are around 10. All the best, Reedling :Hat:
