Good one au naturelle, are you going to make it pretty with whippings and varnish?

Thanks fellas....

Loop, that was to be my next question actually.

To varnish or not to varnish?

I would varnish and some subtle whippings, maybe in black to match the elastic etc.

............... and just round of the ends slightly..........and instead of writing your name on it, I would engrave into the wood and then I think it would look even better but thats just me .......................... now I want one

Or how about a bit of pokerwork? I've got a hazel walking stick that I cut from a hedgerow in 1967 (anticipating old age??). When I got it home, I peeled off a small piece of bark near the top and burnt my name and the date into it with the point of a large nail that had been heated up on a gas ring.

Not terribly neat, but I like to think it has a certain rustic charm...

If you engrave it with the initials PK and send it to me I will have a close look at it and give it a rating and send it back  :chuckle:

Don't do that - everything will stick to the pouch!
