Are the mints for fresh breath just in case you catch a fish you want to kiss?? Or is the kissing of fish just something trendy that TV anglers partake of??

Regardless, travelling light like that is the best way to fish.

Well it appears to be a very popular occurrence on many TV fishing shows! But please, let's not change the main topic. Just wondered how the mints helped with the fishing.

Re the fishing waistcoat, mine has four pockets and I find that quite enough. My regular trout fishing partner has one with I don't know how many pockets and seems to spend more time searching through the pockets for items than he does fishing.

Looking at the weather outside, if I was fishing on my local river today I would be carrying little equipment. Keeps you warm and you can move quick if you are not catching. I have found it hard th stream line may gear after so long being a match/pleasure angler but I am getting there now...

33 pockets! That's barely enough; 4 boxes of nymphs, 2 boxes of dry flies, 1 box of buzzers (flies that is, not Herons), floatant, sinking, 3 sizes of tippet material, forceps, line snippers, float-dough, priest, thermometer, phone, wallet, toffees, cigarettes, matches, car keys........
