Well that was a fine days fishing!
3 of us made the trip to Lemington, my son Josh, my good friend Gary and I. We took a steady drive down arriving at 09:00. The on site cafe provided a lovely breakfast in very clean and pleasant surroundings.
We made our way to Sunset lake at 10:00. Gary has mobility issues so the first 3 pegs were our home for the day. Despite it being a bank holiday the crowds had stayed away so there was only 1 other piscator in attendance.
A rotation of baits and methods were tried through the morning and it slowly became clear that invertebrates were the best baits although the best tench of the day fell to a prawn.

Around 4pm we decided to move over to Abbey lake to try for a few other species.
A further 3 hours produced a PB bream for Josh

A PB perch for Gary (on luncheon meat no less!) a few very lively carp also put in an appearance.
All in all a lovely days fishing. Not the most traditional venue, with its manicured lawns and wooden fishing platforms. But very pleasant surroundings and imaculate fish!

I'm sure you'll enjoy it Loop. 3 PBs on the day including a 3 lbs perch.

Make sure you have something warm on though as it sits in a little bit of a valley and so gets chilly if the wind blows.
