Really nice. I did a similar job on a cork handle recently for a friend's rod and it is no mean feat.
It's going to be a great feeling when you feel those new corks bending under your hand for the first time, with a fish heading downstream!

Happy days,I have posted on here before that I could never afford to have a cane rod ,that's why I started looking for glassrods on e.bay and at boot sales,But today I have started to get all my rods together and have found some rods that have no names on,or any ID at all.I was going to ask someone how to put pictures on here to see if I could get some info on these rods ,Anyway one of the rods just had the little bloke fishing and the word Avon on it,i have learned from TTFF that the little bloke is M.A.R.C.O. Looking at this post I see it is the same rod that is being talked about ,on mine the eyes are all rusty and some of the whippings (which are maroon) need re.whipping.

I really like the blue whipping on the restoration you have undertaken. That rod looks absolutely fabulous...really nice job....wish I had the patience and skill to do that to one of my little float rods which has, at best, seen somewhat better days......
