Looks in great condition - lovely bright dust jacket :Thumb:

You'll not be disappointed - it's a great book,

Mark

Found the connection to Robinson Crusoe yet?

Now that certainly looks like it has a nicer, cleaner dust wrapper than my copy. But I haven't tried cleaning mine....yet. I think a gentle wipe over with a soft cloth with a sprinkling of methylated spirit should do the trick it usually works.

Hi Kevan,

I'm interested in your tip regarding using methylated spirit for cleaning book dust-wrappers as I have a few myself that could do with a bit of a spruce up. I'm assuming this only works with non-porous covers i.e. just those with 'shiny' covers?

Any other top tips....?

Best wishes,

Mark

At work we use acetone to clean up dust-wrappers and they usually come up nicely. Do try it first on a small out of the way area if you are unsure though as it can sometimes take off the ink (I'd best not publicly admit to destroying a nice Tide's Ending dust-wrapper  ). Also, should anyone wish to clean up their collection, I guess I should say don't try this on any dust-wrapper that has a matt-finish as it will make a mess of those too.
