The real looks absolutely stunning, I think even using a cnc you'd of struggled to better it, hope you get some great joy from using it and pride that you built it yourself, it's worthy of a place in a cabinet never mind getting grubby on a rod

I had the opportunity to handle the reel on a recent visit to WM+ It is every bit as lovely as it looks
