Two New Books

Post by Mr B »

I couldn't resist it!
One book was a replacement as a boy and the other one Rods How To Make Them was just because it was another one to add to the "How To Catch Them" Series... great little books.
And what lovely artwork in the Ladybird Book.
Looking forward to a bit of easy readying

The close season is an important and interesting time for the Angler who set out to catch big fish. It is a timely opportunity for him to make new tackle or renovate old. There are no end of jobs to do, apart from those horrible things called Gardens!

I just love the picture of the fisherman. It is quite spooky how he looks like me.
If you have no grease with you, and your rings are full of ice, do not cut out the ice with a pen-knife but get your man to put the rings one by one in his mouth, and so to thaw the ice.

That Ladybird book was on virtually permanent loan to me from the school library when I was a nipper - I'd renew it over and over again.

I'd stare at that float fishing picture and daydream - half expecting the float to bob and slide away at any moment!

He is a fine looking young gentleman.

It's interesting how it uses photographic perspective.
