does anyone have a clue as to what this rod could be or possibly the maker?
The script says AGM , in a style reminiscent of Aspindale but i think the rod is quite a bit too early for that. Hollow built . whole cane split cane tip ----see what you think.

A few more details could help! Length - joint lengths - rings - etc.
What makes you think it predates 1946 - roughly when Aspindale started?

Hi Olly
tip and butt are white ceramic . inters are hi bells and rusty. I'm waiting for my mate - whose rod it is , to get back to me re length.
Age ? i thought it was pre war . now I'm not certain.
the script reminded me of Chas Aspindale .. now i think the rod is from Army & Navy. possibly Millwards but i don't know if they did much , if any hollow built .

Puts me in mind or a Priory of Bournemouth, they do have a very distinctive butt cap.
There are three things that improve with age: wine, friendship and water sense, and there's no short cut.
