The Magic of Fishing, John Moorwood

Post by Aitch »

Just started this book and its a lovely read...
Image
Its not instructional, its not about huge catches, or massive fish or by a celebrity angler... It's about an ordinary mans journey into fishing...
Loving it so far
Just one more cast love, and I'll be on me way home

Leave nothing but footprints, take nothing but pictures and memories

I have just finished it and it is a very good read. It will resonate with a lot of "older" anglers in particular his formative years.
If you have no grease with you, and your rings are full of ice, do not cut out the ice with a pen-knife but get your man to put the rings one by one in his mouth, and so to thaw the ice.

I purchased a copy of this book after watching a YouTube video re making the “secret recipe” bread paste….. Not a famous angler - no record fish, just a pleasant story about a lad and his grandpa fishing and what such things lead to. “Excellent.”
Oh to be at my “Happy Place” where nothing matters but the being there.
