It's actually true. The HQ existed before the road which in totality is called the Europa Link. This was built to link several existing major roads to the (extremely) short-lived Sheffield City Airport, one of the more farcical episodes in Sheffield's history https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sheffield_City_Airport, built on derelict land after the closure of Tinsley steelworks at the request of the same people who brought us the World Srtudent Games in 1992. The developers who built the road offered the SYC the opportunity to name the short stretch which runs past their HQ and, fittingly, they chose a comic one.Nobby wrote: ↑Thu Dec 16, 2021 9:22 amSouth Yorkshire Police HQ, Iain...priceless! I didn't imagine Yorkshire police ever having a sense of humour.....Stathamender wrote: ↑Wed Dec 15, 2021 2:54 pmActually exists: https://www.google.com/maps/place/South ... VVMlpCRUFF
Edit: It might be a joke by a Google employee...it you go to Streetview the sign says Europa Link

What is your favourite word?
I suspect it could be “love”, despite its drawbacks in the rhyming department.
