Milwards Floatcraft (and eBay sellers)

I'm renovating a Milwards rod at the moment. Purchased as a complete wreck but the cane was basically sound. What I do find strange because I have never seen this before, is that the handle is solid wood and not cork.The fixed copper reel holding ring is so thin that it has split so I will have to use a pair of silver coloured alloy ones. I am hoping to sell this rod on when finished as I have so many cane rods but I am recording the process with the intention of writing and article (subject to the two others that I have sent off being printed).
