Greetings from Windlesham
Hi guys,
I am now 74 yrs old. I started fishing as a boy using an Edgar Sealey Octofloat cane rod with a Mordex Mentor centrepin reel. Since then I have graduated to B James ( MkIV) and Alcocks (Wizard) although I have to confess to using Mitchell fixed spool reels. I now have a small collection of vintage fishing items which I buy and sell on eBay. I don't go fishing as often as I used to and could best be described as a fair weather pleasure angler.
My interest in traditional fishing is general. My favourite fish are tench and roach.

A hearty welcome, Sir.

Welcome to the fold Tinkaman.
The good angler is not the one with expensive equipment. Common sense, observation and trying to realize
what is happening above and below water will catch fish no matter what price equipment you fish with.

to the forum, plenty of like minded folk on here
There are three things that improve with age: wine, friendship and water sense, and there's no short cut.
