Nice to hear from you.A few TFF members get together to fish in Nottinghamshire and South Yorkshire on a fairly regular basis so we would be happy for you to join us.The River Idle is the Retford area is one of our haunts and provides some great, but not easy fishing. There was a good length of free fishing in and around Retford town but that has now been somewhat restricted as the council have banned fishing in Kings Park. You can join Derby County Angling Club and purchase their Idle ticket for £28 and for an extra £12 get a joint ticket on the Chesterfield Canal. The DCAC fishing on the Idle extends for 6 miles, double bank with vehicle access to most of it.PM me if you want any further information.

Come in from the cold Jacko, and sit beside this glowing forum.

The good angler is not the one with expensive equipment. Common sense, observation and trying to realize
what is happening above and below water will catch fish no matter what price equipment you fish with.

Welcome from Mid Wales.

God never did make a more calm, quiet, innocent recreation than angling.
