Does anyone fish at Middle Bridge on Wallers Haven, Pevensey ? I started fishing there in 1959 and I am contemplating a return visit in the summer, is the 50 yard stretch immediately downstream of the road bridge (between the two bridges) still free fishing ?

If it hasn't changed SofaSurfer then you must go back. One of the most tragic things in Fishing is when you go back to a place you fished years ago and have fond memories of only to discover it has been ruined.
I have been back to a few fondly remembered venues and sadly only a couple still retain their charm. The unspoilt ones need to be treated with a sense of gratefulness and joy.

I agree, that is why I have never stopped the car and fished. I am always disappointed. My interest was reawakened by an autobiography I read a few years ago.
