Hi lads could anyone please inform me how deep the line lays are on these reels from the tip of the spools ?

Both of them are 12mm ( call it half an inch :) )

The useful fill depth of these spools is actually only a couple of millimetre or so. They are side casters, as such the curved sides are designed to facilitate casting fixed spool style. If you fill too deeply bedding in will frustrate that function altogether.
