3/8 of an inch BSF, Sir.

When drilling the hole you will need a 8mm bit.

Re: Size of thread for Landing nets
I had one of those quick release Gizmos on the end of My Landing net pole and net .It had been on there for ages but the net side of it broke and needed to replacing .The ones I have are a smaller version ,so went to try to unscrew the part in the Handle and its corroded in , Aluminium to Aluminium/water .Only way I can see on getting it out is to drill and retap the thread .Ny cousin has a left handed thread removing Taps so he is going to try that first .If that doesnt then it will be down to re tapping it . I know its a carbon one but has stood me in good stead for over 6 years and is long enough(3.7m Korum Handle ) and strong enough to deal with all that I catch ,so really want to try to save it.
